We Can Always Use: Old Towels & Blankets Old Throw Rugs Old Pillows Items can be dropped off at the shelter, 2625 NW Rochester Road Hours: regular business hours. Helping Hands Humane Society In 1973 a new shelter was built for Helping Hands Humane Society. At that time almost 5,000 animals a year were brought to the shelter. Thirty-five years later that number has doubled to more than 10,000 animals a year that find their way to HHHS. As a result of this increase and the drastic building repairs needed due to the wear and tear of more than 250,000 total animals and thousands of visitors, it has been determined that a new shelter is desperately needed. The goal for Phase I of the new facility is $5.5 million. Your support is needed to get this project underway. Please consider HHHS with your tax-deductible donation. Please check out the sponsorship naming opportunities of rooms and areas in and around the new shelter that are currently available. Call Bill Acree, Director of Development (785-233-7325 x 107) if you have any questions about the new facility. |
